Furnishing and other equipment
The apartments are furnished including basic cooking and household equipment. The beds (size 90x200 cm) have mattress, mattress cover, quilt/blanket and pillow but you need to bring your own sheets and towels. Deficiencies regarding the inventory should be reported to the reception. When a tenant leaves, damaged or missing items will be replaced and charged to the tenant.

The tenant is responsible for keeping the apartment clean during the whole lease and for leaving it clean for the new tenant. All apartments are equipped with a vacuum cleaner, mop and pail. Vacuum bags are not provided.

Broadband

TV/Cable TV
The apartments and rooms are not equipped with TV-sets. If you decide to buy a TV, you will have access to the Swedish network.

Should you wish to add more channels, we suggest that you buy an indoor antenna and subscribe to Boxer. The TV license fee is to be paid by the tenant, who is to report the use of a TV to Radiotjänst i Kiruna AB by phone to 020-91 00 00 or by internet.

Car parking
If you need a parking permit for Fogdevreten, contact Q Park customer service. At their website, go to Kontakta oss, and there you will find email adress and phone number to customer service. You may be asked to send a copy of your lease contract to them by fax.

Bicycle room
At the corner of Fogdevreten 17, facing 15 and 19, there is a bicycle storage room, which you enter by using your apartment key.

Garbage disposal

The garbage room for general garbage is the small building located next to Fogdevreten 15, just before you enter the area. Each tenant must use plastic bags and seal them tightly before putting them into the garbage containers in accordance with the instructions. If you have any questions regarding sorting your garbage, please ask the reception. For most types of cans and bottles bought in Sweden you receive a refund at the grocery stores. Electrical appliances must not be left in the garbage room but taken to a recycling depot, see www.sorab.se.

Laundry
Each apartment has a washing machine, that also serves as a spin drier.

Smoke detectors
All apartments (both for researchers and for students) are equipped with smoke detectors. UAC checks the detector between tenants and the tenant is responsible for notifying UAC of any deficiency of the detector during the tenancy. If you hear a beeping sound, the battery of the detector needs to be exchanged. Please remove it and contact UAC.

General service
For general service in the apartment, use the direct email service, send an email to info@uac.se or call 08-524 821 90.

Emergency service
For emergency service (water, heating and sanitary problems) after office hours, phone Assistansjouren 08-86 00 08 and wait for personal service.

Shopping
There are a number of stores at Solna Centrum, open seven days a week. If you cross Solnabron towards the City and turn left to Norra Stationsgatan, you will find the supermarket PrisXTRA, where bus 73 has a stop close by.

Public transportation
The closest bus stop is Karolinska Vägen and the closest commuter train station is Karlbergs station. For time tables see www.sl.se
