The two buildings at Jyllandsgatan 305 and 307 in Kista are located in a residential area close to Kista Centrum (Kista Galleria) with subway towards the City. There are twenty-seven one-room apartments, size 27 sq.m. furnished for one person only. The apartments have a combined bedroom/living room, a kitchenette and a shower/toilet room. Each apartment has a small storage room next to the entrance door of the apartment. The mailbox for the apartment is through the mail slot of the storage room door.

Arrival
Tenants are requested to check in and pick up the keys at the UAC reception at Fogdevreten 2 A in Solna. For late arrivals/arrivals during weekends, tenants need to arrange with the university department for collecting the keys. Departure
Each tenant should check out at the reception at Fogdevreten 2 A unless a special agreement has been made with the reception. A few weeks before your date of departure you will receive departure information from UAC via email or letter. We ask you to clean the apartment according to instructions, to empty the refrigerator/freezer, to remove all your garbage and to leave the apartment in good order. The housekeeper/receptionist will contact you towards the end of your stay regarding a final inspection of your apartment.

Furnishing and other equipment
Each apartment is fully furnished including basic cooking and household equipment. The beds are size 90x200 cm and have mattress, mattress cover, quilt/blanket and pillow but you need to bring your own sheets and towels. There is a night table, desk and chair, kitchen table and chairs, bookcase, armchair, lamps, curtains, rug and mirror. The kitchenette has a cooking range with two hot plates, microwave, and refrigerator with a small freezing compartment. Deficiencies regarding the inventory should be reported to the reception. When a tenant leaves, damaged/missing items will be replaced and charged to the tenant. The tenant is responsible for keeping the apartment clean during the whole lease and for leaving it clean for the new tenant.

Miscellaneous
Never pour cooking oil down the kitchen drains, as it will clog the pipes. Never throw diapers, sanitary pads/napkins or other objects into the toilet. Smoking being a serious health problem for many people we ask that you do not smoke in the apartment or in the common areas of the buildings.

Car parking/Bicycles
If you have a car and need a parking space at Jyllandsgatan, please check the local signs for information. There are a few spaces marked “Private” at the side of Jyllandsgatan 307 facing the bus stop. At the far end of the buildings you will find bicycle stands.

Cleaning equipment
All apartments are equipped with a mop and a pail. In the laundry room there are a number of vacuum cleaners for the use of all tenants.

Laundry room/Common room
At Jyllandsgatan 307, ground floor, the first apartment from the street is the laundry room/common meeting room. The laundry room has two washing machines, one dryer, one drying cabinet, iron and ironing board. The common room has a regular stove with oven, table, chairs and a TV-set.

Garbage disposal
The garbage room for general household waste is located between the two buildings; general household waste in the door to the right and newspapers and cardboard boxes in the door to the left. Each tenant must use plastic bags for the general household waste and seal them tightly before putting them into the garbage containers. Sorting of heavy garbage such as cardboard, plastic, glass and metals is done at the deposit at Jyllandsgatan 135. How to get to

Karolinska Institutet: take the subway (blue line) from Kista Centrum to Solna or Fridhemsplan and change to bus 506 or bus 3 (daily service) or bus 77 (weekdays only) to Karolinska Institutet. The trip takes approximately 40 min.
Stockholm University: take the subway (blue line) from Kista Centrum to T-Centralen, change to the red line towards Mörby Centrum and get off at Universitetet. The trip takes approximately 35 min.
Stockholm School of Economics: take the subway (blue line) from Kista Centrum to T-Centralen, change to the green line towards Vällingby/Hässelby Strand and get off at Rådmansgatan. The trip takes approximately 25 min.
Royal Institute of Technology: take the subway (blue line) from Kista Centrum to T-Centralen, change to the red line towards Mörby Centrum and get off at Tekniska Högskolan. The trip takes approximately 30 min.
