How long is the waiting time?
As our applicants ask for accommodation for a limited time and usually from a certain date, it is difficult to estimate a general waiting time, as it in each case depends on the availability of accommodation and the demand for accommodation during the specific period. Certain students/researchers are prioritized before others, see Who can apply

The availability of apartments tend to change quickly. Therefore, we book our apartments only two months ahead in time. Meaning that if you have applied in March for an apartment from October, you will be contacted no earlier than August.

If I have not received an offer before the date I requested, do I still remain in the queue?

If the requested moving-in-date on your application has passed without your receiving an offer, your application will be removed unless you contact UAC within one month to update your application.

If the requested moving-in date is passed with six months and you have not yet received an offer, your application will be removed from the queue.

Regarding limited rental time. If I rent accommodation from UAC from August until June and then move out over the summer, does this make me eligible to apply for accommodation for another year?

No, if you have rented accommodation from August until June i.e. two semesters, you have stayed for the maximum time allowed.

Are the apartments and rooms furnished?

Kitchen equipment?

Are dogs, cats or other pets allowed?
No pets are allowed in any of our apartments or rooms.

Where do I pay the rent?

When do I pay the deposit ?
The deposit is included in the first monthly rental invoice that is emailed to the tenant at the time of arrival. You have ten days from the starting day of the contract to pay the first invoice.

When is the deposit returned?

What happens if I do not pay the rent on time?
Tenants who fail to pay in time will be charged a reminder fee of SEK 50. Tenants who repeatedly fail to observe the due dates will be given notice of termination of contract.

What is included in the rent?
The rent includes water, heating and electricity.
