2012-02-03 Preparations for the new booking system on-going
- Applying function down from February 15th-29th

The UAC website will need to undergo some changes in order to prepare for the new booking system that will start working in March.

The applying function will therefore be down from February 15th-29th and it will not be possible to submit any application for accommodation during that time.

From March 1st it will be possible to apply again from the website.

Parts of the website will temporarily also be shut down during the process. For questions that you may not find a reply to at the website during that time, you are always welcome to contact UAC by email or phone.

2012-01-11 UAC gets new booking system in March

The new booking system will facilitate the work for the UAC staff as well as improve the service to applicants and tenants. It will for example make it possible for our tenants to pay the rent online. The application process will be changed so that each applicant creates a login to their own portal where it is possible to apply, view his/her application, and later look at and pay issued invoices.

Due to the new booking system, rent will be charged per day and not per month in all accommodation areas starting from March. This means that the rent will differ from month to month, depending on the number of days each month. The average rent will still remain the same.

2012-01-27 Availability of Accommodation - Karolinska Institutet

All apartments and shared apartments at Fogdevreten are now fully occupied until April.

The demand for apartments and rooms is very high and we are unfortunately not able to offer everyone who have applied.

The allocation of rooms at Jägargatan, Strix and Pax with arrival dates in March/April is on-going.

Important: If you are in the queue and have not received an offer before your requested moving-in-date, you need to contact UAC by email within one month after the requested moving-in-date. We will then update your application in order for you to remain in the queue for accommodation for a maximum time of six months from the requested moving-in-date. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you have arranged for other accommodation and your application will be removed from the queue.

2011-06-23 Disturbances from the Citybanan project at Fogdevreten

New railway tracks are being built close to the Fogdevreten accommodation area. The work can at times be disturbing (noise and blastings) daytime 07.00 - 22.00. Occasionally work is also performed night-time. The work is planned to be finished in 2012.

2011-05-03 One year maximum in apartments

From August 1, 2011 it will only be possible to stay one year in UAC apartments due to the high demand for accommodation. UAC is intended as a first place to stay for newly arrived researchers and students and for those coming for shorter periods. A maximum time of one year also for apartments will facilitate fulfilling this intention.

The maximum time for student rooms will continue to be one year as always.

Present tenants with a contract for more than one year will not be affected.
