Arrival - keys
A couple of weeks before your arrival you will receive an email with important arrival information. In order to get your keys you need a code to one of the key boxes placed on the 1st floor (upstairs from the main entrance floor) at Jägargatan 20. Please contact us if you do not receive the arrival information. Email to maj-britt.marin@uac.se

The tenant is responsible for the keys during her/his stay and will be charged SEK 500 if a key is missing. The keys and the number badge must never be removed from the keyring.

During your stay
You are obliged to keep the room in good order during your stay and to report any deficiency to the caretaker. You are also responsible for keeping the common areas in order and cleaning up after using them.

Departure/return of keys
On the day of your departure, you are requested to leave the room no later than 09.00 am. The room must be left neat and tidy. No garbage or personal belongings must be left in the room.

Your room key and your mailbox key are to be placed in an envelope marked with your room number and returned to the reception mailbox on the first floor.

Rent payment

You will receive your rent invoices by email. The first invoice will be sent to you at your arrival and has to be paid within ten days after moving in. A departure cleaning fee of SEK 300 is charged on the first invoice.The following rents are to be paid every month, in advance.

The rent can be paid by credit card at the UAC reception at Fogdevreten 2 A in the Karolinska Institutet area in Solna or in tobacco shops with payment services (ex. Lola Spel & Tobak in Söderhallarna or Saras Tobak at Rosenlundsgatan 7).

The rent for the month is charged per day in accordance with your contract. If you wish to change your date of departure, the time of notice is 2 months.

For shorter stays, 1-3 weeks, rent is charged as follows (departure cleaning included):

2 weeks SEK 2 000
3 weeks SEK 2 600

The room and its furniture must be kept clean by the responsible student during the whole leasing period. Deficiencies regarding the inventory must be reported to the caretaker at Jägargatan or to the UAC reception. When a student is leaving, damaged and/or missing items will be replaced and charged to the tenant.

Linen
The rooms are equipped with mattress, quilt and pillow. You need to bring your own bed linen and towels.

Mail
Mail for the students is left in the mailboxes outside each corridor. You get a personal key for your mailbox.

Cleaning equipment
Available on all floors.

Common kitchen
All kitchens are equipped with basic kitchen utensils. The kitchen is to be kept clean by the tenants. Never pour cooking oil down the kitchen drains, as they will clog the pipes.

Garbage disposal
The regular household and other garbage disposals are located in the basement, on the KV-floor (-2). The tenants are responsible for sorting their garbage. Glass, metal, newspapers and cardboard must be carried down to the garbage recycling room on floor KV (–2).

There are two garbage rooms – one for regular household waste and one for the garbage that can be recycled: glass (clear glass and colored glass are to be sorted separately), metal, batteries, cardboard and newspapers.

Please also read the instructions in the kitchen how to handle the garbage.

Never throw diapers, sanitary pads/napkins or other objects into the toilet.

Laundry rooms
The laundry rooms are located in the corridors, one on each floor. Each laundry room is equipped with washing machines, spin-drier and hand washing facilities. Please read the instructions carefully before use.

Bike storage
In order to get access to the bike storage room, contact the caretaker.
